Now Braddigan has finally formed a stable permanent band, which includes Braddigan on guitar and vocals, Reinaldo de Jesús from Barrio Obrero Santurce, Puerto Rico, on percussion and Tiago Mechado from Sao Paulo, Brazil on bass and other string instruments, most notably the Cavaquinoh, a Brazilian ukulele. Braddigan releases his music under his independent label, Third Surfer Music.
The first full-length album has a top song selection and a clean production. It has the typical and familiar Braddigan sound - very chill and acoustic. Something speacial to be mentioned is, that Phil Keaggy played along with Brad in one song.
Ever since Watchfires was released in 2005, people have been asking for a live Braddigan album. Well, this is it! Featuring Watchfires favorites Pura Vida and City on a Hill, it also includes extended versions of Sweet Uncertain and Past the Falls. It also has previously unreleased songs, Fare Thee Well and Customs. This live record is also considered Tiago’s official debut!
This sampler was handed out at the Dispatch Madison Square Garden concerts. The first three tracks are from the upcoming Braddigan album "The Captive". The other tracks are from the soundtrack to the surfing film "Walking On Water".
The Captive is the trio's first studio recording together and the twelve songs demonstrate the eclectic and dynamic composition of their personalities and experiences.
This show was recorded live in June 2008 near the San Diego beaches with Braddigan on acoustic and electric guitars, Rey on percussion, Tiago on bass, and Paul on drums
